2007-08-08 - 9:33 p.m. The bad news: John Newby is leaving the band Brazil. Newby has been the voice of Brazil since nearly the beginning of the band. If you've never met the man, you couldn't ask for a nicer, more polite man. On stage, of course, he's something of a lunatic, but that's what ya pay yer money for, ain't it? The good news: Brazil will be playing two last shows with Newby at the mike. Friday, August 17th, the will be at the Melody Inn in Indianapolis. Saturday, August 18th, they will be at the Launching Pad in the Ball State village. Both shows are at 8:00. Don't know where the Launching Pad is? Yeah, neither do I. Just walk around looking for the cool kids in the Village. They're bound to be heading for the show. John, we'll miss you and we hope that we'll see you again in another venture. You're too damn talented to waste away.
